PRIMA INDUSTRIE: SALES OF THE YEAR 2000 UP TO 90 MILLION EURO (+51% ON 1999) PROFIT BEFORE TAXES UP TO 9 MILLION EURO (+84% ON 1999) The Company Board of Directors reports on the Consolidated Accounts of the Group as at December 31st, 2000 compared with same period of the previous year: - Sales up to 174,2 billion Lire (+51%) - Gross operating profit (EBITDA) up to 20,4 billion Lire (+50%) - Operating profit (EBIT) up to 16,5 billion Lire (+50%) - Gross profit (EBT) up to 17,5 billion Lire (+84%) Considering Prima Industrie S.p.A. on its own (the Group leader), sales have been 122,7 billion Lire (+29%), EBIT is 13 billion Lire (+68%) and Profit before taxes is 13,6 billion Lire (+119% compared with the previous year before deducting the costs of listing). At next Shareholders' Meeting, the Board will propose the translation of the Company Capital from Lire into Euro together with a share splitting at 4 to 1 and this means four new shares for one of those in circulation. The purpose is to improve the diffusion of the Company security stock.
